Software Engineer - NV1, NV2 or PV

About the Role:

Due to rapid growth and a strong pipeline of client projects, we are currently looking for suitably cleared Software Engineers across all levels to work with our both our Enterprise/Solutions and Defence clients across several projects and disciplines, undertaking tasks such as but not limited to:

  • Best practices software development in various modern languages.
  • Interacting with clients and collaborate with a passionate team of data scientists and software engineers, shaping software to meet client needs.
  • Providing ongoing enhancements, maintenance and support in existing systems and platforms.

As part of the Engineering team you will participate in release and sprint planning sessions, daily stand-up meetings, sprint demos, retrospectives, story grooming sessions, and any other Kanban/Scrum-related meetings.

What we are looking for:

  • Australian citizen and must be eligible to hold or currently possess a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security Clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Understanding of the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Exposure to web based technologies (e.g. Angular or React).
  • Exposure to an object oriented programming language (e.g. C++, Java or C#).
  • Exposure to a version control tool (e.g. Subversion or Git).
  • Experience working with gaming software, such as Unreal Engine is desirable but not essential.
  • Initiative and a desire to challenge yourself and continuously improve.


GIS Analyst

About the Role:

As a Geospatial Analyst/Remote Sensing Data Scientist, you will play a key role in manipulating and analysing geospatial datasets, including satellite imagery, LiDAR data, and vector datasets. Your role will involve ordering, processing, and visualising optical satellite imagery, as well as conducting detailed analysis and assessments of various geospatial data types.

You will guide and support the team in adopting best practices and staying abreast of the latest developments in earth observation and GIS. Your ability to effectively communicate complex geospatial information to both internal and external stakeholders will be crucial.

This position demands a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset to support and advise the larger team on geospatial and earth observation tasks. You will play a pivotal role in advancing our geospatial capabilities and driving innovation in geospatial-based data science and machine learning applications within the organisation, whilst also having the opportunity to expand your data science and machine learning skills with our experts and through our supportive learning environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Programmatic manipulation of geospatial datasets including but not limited to satellite imagery, LiDAR data and vector datasets.
  • Ordering and processing optical satellite imagery.
  • The analysis of various satellite imagery data types, their availability, resolutions, use cases and the basic processing data.
  • Producing effective visualisation of geospatial data for communication and reporting
  • Providing detailed analysis and assessment of geospatial datasets.
  • Ability to guide the team in the best practices and latest developments in earth observation and GIS.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.

What will help you succeed:

  • Bachelors Degree in Geospatial Information Systems, Data Science or related field.
  • Ideally, a minimum 3-5 years’ experience working within a geospatial or earth observation role.
  • Experience using GIS software required (QGIS desirable).
  • Familiarity with using python or R for geospatial dataset manipulation.
  • Experience manipulating both raster and vector datasets.
  • Proficiency working with and processing satellite imagery.
  • Experience in georeferencing datasets would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge in atmospheric correction and orthorectification would also be an advantage.
  • Experience with LiDAR data would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver solutions to complex problems.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and broaden knowledge base.
  • Ability to think critically in problem solving.
  • Ability to provide advice and support to the larger team on geospatial and earth observation tasks and problems.


Brand, Marketing & Communications Manager

About the Role:

As we grow and expand our presence, we seek a dedicated Brand, Marketing and Communications Manager to bring the essential know-how, drive and capabilities of strategic thinking through to operational execution. With a breadth of experience across marketing, brand and communications, the right candidate will possess a collaborative and influencing approach to design and delivery - both for today and for tomorrow through our growth agenda.

The Brand, Marketing & Communications Manager will be a valued contributor in the delivery of Aurizn's strategic growth agenda. You will contribute to both organic and inorganic (M&A) business expansion into new geographies and capability offerings for our clients. Encompassing planning, design and delivery of strategic and operational plans for brand development, marketing, and communications – enhancing Aurizn’s presence and contributing to Aurizn’s big goals.

You will be responsible for:

  • Your breadth across brand, marketing and communications highlights our unique story and future vision of Aurizn through growth phases
  • • Evolve Aurizn’s brand, collateral and guidelines, including Customer and Employer proposition
  • • Create and execute marketing plans, campaigns and initiatives, in collaboration with the business development team, and key stakeholders.
  • • Conduct in-depth market research to identify and make recommendations about opportunities and trends.
  • • Implement measurable digital marketing campaigns, encompassing SEO, SEM, and social media marketing, tailored to the business requirements and goals.
  • • Design and deliver a compelling narrative that effectively communicates Aurizn’s success stories, values, vision and leadership
  • • Build and evolve our social and other media presence to engage our target audience and measurably enhance the Aurizn brand.
  • • Collaborate with senior leaders and business growth teams to research and analyse and support both National and International geographies growth

What will help you succeed:

  •  Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
  • • Proven experience in brand management, marketing, external and internal communications.
  • • Experienced people leadership.
  • • Excellent collaborator and connector, with a strong stakeholder focus.
  • • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills that translate to excellence in execution and outcome.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • • Understanding of the defence industry would be advantageous, but not essential.
