Aurizn WGEA Employer Statement

Aurizn's Commitment to Gender Equality

At Aurizn, we are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees have equal opportunities to succeed. Our commitment to gender equality is evident in our policies, practices, and ongoing efforts to close the gender pay gap.

Our approach to Gender Equality

We are committed to ensuring equal pay for equal work. Our remuneration practices are designed to be transparent and fair, with regular reviews to identify and address any disparities. We have implemented the following initiatives to support gender equality:

  • Talent Attraction and Retention: We ensure our talent and retention activities are designed to support better representation of females, and promote a diverse workforce, across all levels of Aurizn. Our recruitment processes are designed to attract diverse talent, and we offer leadership development programs to support the growth of female employees.
  • Early Careers Pathway: We invest in our Early Careers pathways and talent pipeline, setting and achieving a participation target for female STEM students at a higher percentage that our current female workforce representation.
  • Pay Practices: Our annual remuneration reviews include a gender-based analysis to ensure fairness. Managers receive data on the market competitiveness of their employees' pay by gender, to identify any discrepancies to be addressed.
  • Family-Friendly Policies: We offer flexible working arrangements, paid parental leave, and support for parents returning to work. These policies help create a supportive environment for all employees.
  • Awareness and Training: We conduct regular training sessions on diversity and inclusion, women’s fireside chat sessions, and celebrate events such as International Women's Day to raise awareness and promote gender equality.
  • ESG: Our Environmental, Social and Governance action plan incorporates key initiatives to attract more women and diversity to the Aurizn workforce, for example: through our social impact activities such as key involvement in and sponsorship of HerTech Path.

Our Progress and Future Goals

As of our latest review, Aurizn's gender pay gap stands at 6.6%. While we did some work in the June 2024 pay review to improve on our position, we recognise that there is still work to be done. Our ongoing efforts include:

  • Increasing the representation of women across the business, including in senior leadership roles.
  • Continuing to refine our pay practices to ensure equity.
  • Expanding our diversity and inclusion programs to foster a more inclusive workplace culture.

We are committed to making gender equality a reality at Aurizn and will continue to take proactive steps to achieve this goal.
